DID YOU EVER DREAM OF BECOMING A COMMERCIAL PILOT? If so we have created this course specifically for you! Complete this course and you will get the chance to work at VA as one of our 737 or Vulcan Bomber flight instructors. Anybody can undertake the training, whether you have no experience, a PPL or even a CPL, we have created a modular course to accommodate all experience levels. Once training has finished new instructors can choose which days they want to work, from 1 day PM to 10-15 days PM depending upon availability.
Virtual Aerospace is the largest simulator company in the UK operating nine simulators across 5 locations. During the past nine years we have flown more than 150,000 operational hours, during which time we discovered that thousands of you had always harboured a desire to become commercial pilots, yet finances, age, medical challenges, family and a hundred other reasons simply got in the way! So we put our heads together and designed a course of training that mirrors the real-world training an airline pilot recieves but at a fraction of the cost! The end result is a simulator instructor operators licence.

An individual can bypass certain modules depending upon previous experience by completing a flight assesment.
Module 1 – Flight Basics (10 Hours Dual – 4 hours solo practice)
Module 2 – Advanced Handling (10 Hours Dual – 4 hours solo practice)
Module 3 – IFR Basics (10 Hours Dual – 5 hours solo practice)
Module 4 – Advanced IFR (10 Hours Dual – 5 hours solo practice)
Module 5 – 737 Type Rating (12 Hours Dual – 5 hours solo practice)
Module 6 – MCC Course (12 Hours Dual – 5 hours solo practice)
Module 7 – Instructor Rating (12 Hours Dual – 4 hours solo practice)

Each module is split into a number of lessons combined with solo practice. Upon booking you will receive a student pack, this includes a PDF Boeing 737 QRH, VA Logbook, welcome document, module lesson plan and VA checklist & flight profile data sheet. In most cases, lessons are conducted in groups of 3, i.e. your instructor (an experienced commercial pilot) as well as you and another student. Lessons are usually in blocks of 3 or 4 hours and can be arranged to suit your availability Mon to Friday both daytime or evening and weekend evenings. At the end of each module there is a progress test, once passed the module is signed off, at which point you simply move onto the next module.
The final test complete, you are now a qualified Virtual Aerospace Flight Instructor, Rosters are produced at the beginning of each month, Instructor days usually start at 09:15 with you starting the simulator and taking the aircraft for a test flight. Your first customer will then arrive around 09:45 for their briefing. Typical flying days are between 4 & 6 flying hours, seldom do you know whos going to walk through the door. A retired captain, A fear of flying? A flight simmer? A professional pilot preparing for their first interview or a flight experience customer. Your training will have prepared you for any eventuality!

Ever wondered how to start and prepare an airliner for departure? Or want to taxi to the runway? For just £25.00 extra you can add this MUST HAVE 15 minute add-on to your session and really get that full airline experience.
Once your briefing is complete you will enter the cockpit to find it completely shutdown and parked at the Gate – or cold and dark as we describe it, this is how real pilots find it when they turn up for the first flight of the day. Guided by your instructor you will slowly bring the aircraft to life, you will follow real world checklists, program the flight computer and prepare the aircraft for flight. You will then be pushed back from the gate, start the engines and configure the cockpit for taxi. With both engines started and the pushback truck out of the way you will taxi the aircraft to the holding point at the runway. With final checks complete and lined up on the runway you are ready for your session time to begin.
This add on is a MUST HAVE addition to all our flight simulator experiences. The level of realism this adds cannot be underestimated totally immersing you in the world of the big jet pilot.
