Virtual Aerospace

£7,999 £5,999

We are currently the only flight simulator company in the world to be able to offer this unique product! This course will take individuals with little or no flying experience and train them to not only fly all of our fixed base 737 800 simulators but also become qualified to instruct the general public on our 15 million pound, 50 foot high full motion simulators as well! Pass this course and you will be able to wear a white Virtual Aerospace pilots shirt with 3 silver bars and call yourself a commercial 737 instructor. Some people undertake this course because they want to simply check a box, others want to earn the course fee back by actually instructing for us, being paid to complete simulator sessions. Regardless of your motivation this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to actually live your dream!

Product Description

0% Interest finance is available with this course.

Whilst there are no entry requirements to this course, these machines cost upwards of £15 million pounds and obviously you would have our reputation in your hands so we have to be 100% comfortable that you are the right kind of person prior to training. This involves a short interview followed by a simulator assessment session in one of our fixed base simulators. We are looking for sensible individuals that will respect our equipment and demonstrate a positive attitude towards learning.
However even with these skills this is a massive undertaking and will require a good deal of commitment from you. It goes without saying that some flying skills would be usefull but this course will cover all aspects of flying in general and test you in ways you never thought possible. Whilst we can run this course to work around your work commitments you will need to allow for approx. 5 – 7 full days with at least 2-3 days consecutive. however the remainder of the training can be done on evenings and weekends.

So what’s covered in the course?

  • Basic flying training (this section is skipped if you hold a PPL)
  • Operating a multi engine aircraft / jet differences
  • IFR Test
  • Boeing 737 introduction
  • Systems / automation
  • Simulator operation
  • Boeing 737 General Handling Flight Test
  • Airline operations / line training
  • Line flight Test
  • Instructing techniques
  • Final flight test (Conducted with CFI who roleplay being a customer)

We will provide all the written material, DVD,s and information required to complete this course, you will also be allocated an instructor buddy who will be available as a mentor throughout the course.

*Where flight tests are concerned a small amount of extra time has been built into the course to re take a failed test, this can be used for practice time at the end. We are mindful that you will not be taking people flying in a real aircraft when testing, however our particular focus is on using equipment correctly and demonstrating attention to public safety at all time. Full motion simulator can pull G and break one and we could end up with a £5 million pound bill!

After Completion

Those wanting to become active Flight Instructors

Once you have finished your training you will be considered a Virtual Aerospace Flight Instructor and will, if desired allocated certain “non commercial” flight instructional tasks which are paid in line with other VA instructors on an hour by hour basis. Schedules are allocated at the beginning of each month with instructional days usually consisting of between 5 and 7 flying hours per day. Schedules are handed out each month and you must maintain an exceptionally high instructional standard which will be reviewed from time to time.

Those simply wanting to check the box

For those wanting to simply complete the course but not actually undertake paid for sessions, you will benefit from a massive hourly reduction in simulator hire on both the full motion and fixed base simulators. You will also be able to operate these machines solo bringing in family and friends whenever you wish.

Does this course count towards a real flying licence?

Unfortunately NOT, however you could log this time within your flight log book under the synthetic training tab, however it would certainly lesson training time which would save you thousands of pounds in training cost. In addition once you achieved an ATPL / ME IR then this time would be looked extremely favourably by the airlines. In all but 3 cases VA instructors have gone on to fly with the airlines and all have cited this job as being critical to their gaining an airline placement.
